Caribe Graphics Offset Printing

Offset printing is a traditional printing method that uses multiple transfers of images instead of direct printing from plate to paper.  The procedure includes the copying of images from a plate to a rubber blanket.  This, in turn, prints the images onto the surface of the stock used.

Offset printing is the most common form of high-volume commercial printing. As the number of copies increase, the cost is distributed among the pieces so the more copies printed, the lower the cost of each.  You can double the amount that you order but the price increase remains minimal. Any additional paper printing will only cost the price of the paper and ink, which is very minimal.

Offset printing produces sharp and clean images, type and a consistent high quality image.  Plus, offset printing is the least expensive method to produce high quality printing in commercial printing.

Modern digital presses are getting closer to the cost/benefit of offset for high-quality work but they still have not yet been able to compete with the sheer volume of product that an offset press can produce.

One of the impressive things about offset printing is that there are a variety of mediums onto which you can transfer images. Paper is just one of the many materials that can be used. Other materials that are often used in offset printing include rubber, fabric, and wood. Quality images can even be applied to leather and metal using offset printing.
